Tatu hitch
A variation of the standard ‘truckers hitch’ that eliminates excessive wear and tear at the spot where the ropes rub against each other.
Start at the centerpoint of the rope. You do know how to find your center? Right?.
Grab the doubled rope a bit away from the center and pull it upward. This creates a ‘double’ bunny ear.
Pass the double bunny ear through the hardpoint.
Bring the double bunny ear down. There are now three loops. The original centerpoint and the two of the double bunny ear.
Gather the three loops together as one.
Grab all three loops. A total of six lines. Hold them together treating them as if they were a single unit.
Tie an overhand knot. This can now be used as the base for a standard normal truckers hitch.
