Reverse french bowline

Most bondage cuffs only work well when pulled from a spicific direction. This cuff will still equalize no matter what direction the standing part is anchored to.

Disclaimer: Heavy load causes this knot to capsize. Using it for suspension is a super-bad idea.

This is actually just a French Bowline. But the working end and the standing part are reversed “Eskimo style”. The working end is shown here by the black tip on the rope.

Bring the working end around the limb from behind.

Wrap three or four times around the limb.

Pinch the standing part and bring it up forming a “bunny ear”.

Cross the doubled-up standing part against the working end. This motions is very much like attaching the twisty tie to the top of a loaf of bread.

Reach under all the coils from the right, lifting them up slightly.

Pass the working end under all of the coils. Pull tight.

Bring the working end up through the “bunny ear”.

Pull on the working end. The “bunny ear” will squeeze up small capturing the working end snug. Notice that the finally knot is structurally identical to a french bowline but is “backwards”.
