Fools cuff

Like that long slow sensual feeling of rope being dragged across the skin as the ends are pulled through a knot? Then this is the single limb cuff for you! The ends are pulled through on four separate occasions.

Start with the center of the rope making a bunny ear.

Wrap the ends around the limb you are securing.

Reach through the bunny ear and grab the ends.

Take your hand back out pulling the ends through the bunny ear.

With the tails all the way through the bunny ear, you have completed the first of four pull-throughs.

Just like before, wrap the ends around the limb you are securing.

Just like before, pull the ends through the bunny ear.

You have completed the second of four pull-throughs.

IMPORTANT: Do not “reverse directions” at this point. In the photos the rope has been coiled top to bottom so do the next step below the bunny ear part. If you have been coiling in the opposite direction, the next step will be done above the bunny ear part.

There are four parallel coils against the limb. Take up the ends and pass them between the coils and the limb.

You have completed the third of four pull-throughs. Note that one hand is holding back some slack so that the total length of the rope ends haven’t quite pulled all the way through.

Advice from the Fool : At this step, you can pull on the slack you are holding back and it will adjust just how snug the coils around the limb are.

Reach your hand through the slack that you kept.

Pick up the ends of the rope and bring them through the slack part that you had been holding back.

You have finished the fourth of four pull-throughs. Remember: Bunny ear / bunny ear / coils / slack.
