Doorknob knot
Usually a clove hitch doesn’t work well as a bondage knot. But it does do rather well as a way to anchor one end of a rope to a doorknob.
Make a slipknot.
Drop the loop of the slipknot over the doorknob. Its important to place this “right side up” ……
There are two places where the rope crosses side to side. The crossing that is in front should be the higher of the two.
The crossing in the back should be the lower of the two (Remember: top on top / bottom on bottom).
There are two “bumps” on the side of the knot. Grab the lower of these two.
Pull this bump out to the side. Do not twist, flip, or rotate the rope at all. Just pull it out to the side.
Pull this bump up. Do not twist, flip, or rotate the rope at all. Just pull it straight up.
Pass this bump in front of the doorknob. Do not twist, flip, or rotate the rope at all. Just pass it straight to the side.
Drop this bump over the doorknob (and also over the rope already there). The knot is now exactly a clove hitch.
