The japanese crown is a beautiful lanyard knot for a kadara body harness. But it is rather tricky to tie. Dont panic. The same look can be archived using nothing but overhand knots.
Make a granny knot but keep it very loose.
Slide the knot down until you reach the middle of the rope.
Take the bottom overhand knot and flip it upside down.
Tighten the lower overhand knot all the way, making sure to keep it upside down when compared to the other overhand knot.
Tighten the upper overhand knot. The familiar pinwheel shaped square characteristic of a Japaneses crown knot is now visible..
