I would like to know more about the testicles
I like bizarre connections between things you wouldn’t think are related. Thats why I love the lecture by Mike Row at the EG conference. He starts off talking about the castration process of lambs. Along the way he talks about german porno, aristotle, Bruce Willis in ‘The Sixth Sense’, Hillary Clinton drinking shots, the nature of happiness, safety, crab boats, stereotypes in Hollywood, and finally pulls it all together by calling attention to the impending danger of the collapse of the national power grid.
If your a fan of the TED Talks this is easily in the same profoundness level. Even has the socialist style “the world would be a better place with more centeral planing” politics that every other TED Talk fan besides myself seem to enjoy. And its about the same length of time too.
There is plenty amazing in the video on its on, but in the spirit of connect the dots in ways you wouldn’t expect its his talk on stereotypes that I like to BDSM. “The way we portray working people on TV? Its laughable. If thers a plumber he is 300 pounds and he has a giant butt crack”.
Kinksters love to talk about how they are always misrepresented in the media. But as I frequently point out in my writing, sexual radicalism and calls for decency are NOT opposites. They are twins. This notion that the evil oppressive media is oppressing kinksters by showing anyone with so much as handcuffs in their bedroom as a sick crazed stalker/murderer is hardly true to begin with. But compare that to the way ‘working folks’ are painted as being dumb ignorant close minded homophobic redneck hicks who would never understand the more ~froward thinking~ goals of the alt-sex political movement.
I have actually written about the stereotypes of the working class and how it relates to sexual-politics. So actually this isnt that innovative of me to say.
