When is it ok to out someone?
Sonny Bono was elected Mayor of Palm Springs on a platform of pro business, job growth, and limited government. All republican ideas. But since the ‘christian right’ is the enemy, the gay comunity attempted to smear him by outing his daughter.
Pete Williams served as spoksman for the pentagon under Bush Sr. Strong on defence, he was just as strong on government accountability, having lobied for public disclosure of government procedings. But since the ‘christian right’ is the enemy, he gout outed by gay rights activits.
Mark Hatfield was a libartian leaning politician. He was elected as a republican. Theirfore he must be a bible thumping, sex hating, purticinal, close minded hatemonger. he neeed to be outed also. To demonstrate his ‘hyprococy’.
Ed Schrock = republican = ‘christian right’ = enemy = Out him too.
David Dreier needed to be outed too. Republicans are evil after all.
Jim Kolbe deserved to be outed. But those evil scheeming right wingers are crafty. He came out of the closet himself voluntaraly in order to blunt the impact of being outed by activists. After that he just let the subject drop. As if his sexuality wasent even an issue.
Dick Cheney is the most evil human alive! He must be destroyed. So make a big deal over the fact that his daughter is gay. And hey, if Cheney tries to just let the subject drop the way Kolbe did, we can just acuse him of being ‘ashamed’ and claim that his refusal to talk about it is due to him trying to cover it up and keep it hidden.
But ya dont want people getting wise to the fact that your outing people for political gain. So when you out Mark Foley be sure to throw in a story abotu how he was involved with someone underage. (Even though it turns out that the person in question wasent underage after all).

Gay-bashing christians and christian-bashing gays are two halfs of the same issue. They feed off each other. The outing of political enemies by gay activists is fueled by their absolute hatred for those who are difrent than them.
Gay activists will not stop. Any and all actions are justifibal if it suits the desired end of ‘death to all right wingers’. It dosent matter whos privacy they violate.
